Who we are
This website, getpacemaker.com, is run by Pacemaker. If you have any question about your data, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- your email address
- your answers about roughly how many orders you get a week and how many processing profiles you use, if you give them
- whether you'd like to be a pilot shop
- that you agreed to hear from us, and when
- the country you signed up from, worked out by Cloudflare from your connection. We store the country only, never your IP address
- how you found us, if the link you followed says so (for example a link from a newsletter) or your browser tells us the site you came from
We don't ask for your name, your shop name or any access to your Etsy shop at this stage.
How we use it
- To email you when Pacemaker opens for pilot shops.
- To choose which shops to invite first. Your answers and country help us find a mix of shop sizes and places.
- To see which links and sites bring people to the waitlist.
We use your details because you agreed to it when you ticked the box on the form. We won't send you any other marketing.
Who else handles it
We don't sell or share your details. A few service providers handle data for us:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the waitlist, in a database kept in Western Europe. Cloudflare also runs Turnstile, a check on the form that tells people from bots. Turnstile looks at your browser and connection while the page is open; Cloudflare says it doesn't use this for advertising.
- Our email provider sends the email telling you Pacemaker is open.
Cloudflare is a US company, so your details may be handled in the US. It uses the safeguards UK data protection law requires for this, such as the UK–US data bridge and standard contract clauses.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't set cookies and doesn't use any advertising tracking. If you switch the prices between pounds and dollars, your browser remembers that choice on your own device; it isn't sent to us. If any of this changes, we'll update this notice first and ask for your permission where the law needs us to.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. When we no longer need the waitlist, we'll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you
- correct them
- delete them
You can also withdraw your permission at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
When you start using Pacemaker
Connecting your Etsy shop to the Pacemaker app is separate from the waitlist. Before you connect, we'll explain what shop data the app reads and changes, and how we look after it.
